2011 project in photographing the hands of the dwindling cycling messengers in London. This is a small sample of the final photographs. The rest were lost due to an issue with an external hard drive in 2015.
You can see some performative efforts in to add grease to hands to make the subject look ‘tougher’ ,
And an effort to avoid showing the backs of the hands in another photo, which contained a phone number.
